Background to West Cornwall Youth Trust
The WCYT was initially set up with funding from the Roy Fletcher Charitable Trust (RFCT), based in Shropshire.
The RFCT was started in 1978 by Roy Fletcher, a successful Shropshire businessman and philanthropist. Its main focus is to offer financial help to Shropshire residents who are socially disadvantaged, underprivileged or physically handicapped, whether young or old. Since Roy Fletcher’s death in 1991, the RFCT has been managed and expanded by his four children.
